GTA V, Saints Row and FIFA 22 topped the August sales chart in Europe

Analysts from GSD presented statistics on sales in the gaming industry in Europe for August.
The most popular games in August were Grand Theft Auto V, Saints Row Relaunch and FIFA 22, but Gran Turismo 7 managed to double sales in August compared to July.
7.7 million physical and digital copies were sold in Europe last month.
At the same time there was a 12.4% drop in sales compared to the same period in 2021.
Digitally, GTA 5 was the leader, and on discs, Nintendo Switch Sports.A total of 310,000 consoles were sold in tracked European markets in August, down 19 percent from the same period in 2021.
The Nintendo Switch remains the leader.
GSD notes that the stats don't include data from the major European markets of Germany and the U.K.
As for accessories, 1.18 million were sold, down 9% from August 2021.
The PS5 DualSense leads the way.
